Spirometry Screening

Spirometry, is a common type of pulmonary function test used to evaluate respiratory health. It measures how well a person can move air in and out of their lungs and the capacity of their lungs.

Lung function is an important consideration for workers who are exposed to respiratory hazards, dusty environments or are required to wear respirators.

In an occupational setting, spirometry is used:

· At pre-employment

· To establish a baseline before assigning a worker to certain job tasks such as those that require use of a respirator, or that may expose the worker to respiratory hazards

· In health surveillance programs to track lung function over time.

At Stellar Health Solutions, our Nurses are specifically trained to conduct spirometry. We use gold-star spirometry equipment (EasyOne Air) and reports are electronically created for employer convenience and reliability.
